New Folder
"ALRIGHT! Listen up you primitive screwheads!"
Got your attention? Good. ;)
Since Marvel went out of their way to muck up Shulkie in her new book, I've made a folder for pics of all sorts to be deposited in to.
Doesn't matter if its a toon, or 3D or what..if she's grey in it....that's were it will go.
Just FYI.
We need to talk, folks....
I have been noticing a influx of people posting new pics to the group, and while that's a very good thing, most of the mare trying to post them to the wrong folder leaving me one of three options.
Move it to the correct folder myself, which takes time, since, if you're just suggesting it, I have to wait for the artist to respond, THEN move it.
Deny it making you, the poster unhappy.
and lastly, deny it and contact you to resubmit it which, again, tends to make posters angry.
So, I say, and this is a novel idea,..why not do it right the first time?
When you go to share to the group, there's a little, rectangular window with the word "featured"
She-Hulk's newest book...CANCLED...again.
Well..kinda like I predicted when I saw the horrid art and so-so stories, our beloved Emerald Eyeful's newest book will be cancled with issue #12.
From Yahoo news:
"SHE-HULK's solo career has been a rough one. any fans feel that both Peter David's (2005) and Dan Slott's (2004) runs with this character were ended prematurely. January's solicits revealed that SHE-HULK will be ending with issue #12 with the description of the book.
FINAL ISSUE! The end of the Blue File...and the end of an era! But when one door closes, another one opens, and Jen finds herself face to face with her most important case yet.
She-Hulk got a #12 issue run with Charle
the New She-Hulk Comic...WTF???
OK...over the last 6 months, I managed to save some scheckles to buy the first 6 issues of the new She-hulk series and I have a question for everyone...
Why we can't get a good artist on She-Hulk?
I mean, WTF people?
First we get this Pulido with his flat faces and bug-eyes, then we get this Wimberly person with his blocky style and disjointed features (Shulkie looked like she had a broken nose most of the time, she actually expanded during her fight with the demons and WTF was up with Tigra's Mr. Fantastic-esque arms? For that matter...WTF was up with Tigra, period?).
Ugh!
Lord, I miss Byrne.
It's bad en

SPOILERS
I bought Hulk #1 yesterday & I give it a 4.5 out of 5. The story is Jen getting back in the groove of working at her old firm while trying to deal with the turmoil that happened with Bruce Banner. She shows up at work & everyone is excited to see her. Her assistant tells her that her first client is waiting for her in her office, a young lady named Ms. Brewn(like coffee brewing) Jen enters her office & she finds it completely dark & the young lady startles her. Brewn from what I gather from the story was a teacher & she was attacked & she changed because she has restorative powers, tells Jen that she is being wrongfully evicted from her house & she stresses that she can't leave the house...hmmm more on that later. Jen tells her that she promises to get to the bottom of it & Ms. Brewn leaves with a creepy smile & whispers "That's a promise"
Now later as Jen heads home to work she's met up at her crib by a woman Florida Mayer "Flo". It turns out Jen was supposed to have returned this woman's calls but when Flo mentions that she is about to write a book about trauma & what happened to her & she mentions Bruce's name, Jen starts to click & in the artwork you can see the signs of her about to change into Hulk. She partially turns into Hulk when she remembers Hawkeye & Thanos & in one of the panels, she reverts back to Jen with partially torn clothing while she falls asleep. The final page shows Ms. Brewn pouring a cup of coffee & she's talking to someone about Jen & she mentions about a lawyer named Fred & said Fred was good man until the bad thing happened. Her house looks like an episode of Hoaders & you guessed it, it's DARK when you see the panel & she has stacked cups of coffee near her window. She's asking someone with a smile on her face "No matter what happens you will protect me right?" The last page shows her standing in front of the darkened room & a mysterious voice says "YES"
Overall, this is good start to what hopefully would be a good series. I liked Nico Leon's art in this because IMO, the art compliments the story. Mariko Tamaki has something going with this. Jen dealing with what happened & a mysterious new villain on the horizon. I just hope Marvel doesn't decide to pull the plug on this great series like they did in years past.
